Traveling through Time

TriMet riders can now take a journey back through time to the dawn of transit in the Portland area.

TriMet buses and MAX trains feature 20 unique placards showing historic photos of different modes of transportation dating as far back as the late 1800s. Each photo's caption identifies the era in which the photo was taken.

Many of the photos were graciously provided by the Oregon Historical Society; the rest come from TriMet archives.

Below are all 20 historical photograph placards appearing inside TriMet buses and MAX trains.
