Transportation Fairs

Transportation fair ready to begin

A transportation fair is a service TriMet provides to help employers promote a transit pass program or alternative commute options subsidy. TriMet staff come to your worksite to help employees plan their commute trips on TriMet Bus, MAX or Streetcar and talk about other commute options such as carpooling or bicycling. We'll bring maps, schedules and brochures for employees to take home.

There is a limit of one transportation fair per worksite, per year. We generally schedule 1 ½ to 2 hours to make sure the fair fully addresses employee needs. TriMet also offers a program to train company transportation coordinators to put on their own transportation fairs.

How it works

To schedule a transportation fair, contact your TriMet marketing representative at least two weeks in advance. Choose a time and location and start promoting the fair—emails, flyers, newsletters, bulletin boards and paycheck stuffers are just a few ideas. Promises of food and prizes always attract a crowd.

On the day of the fair, TriMet will bring all necessary materials. Your transportation coordinator should be on hand to answer specific questions about employee benefits and subsidies.
