Ride MAX to Zoo concerts
1st performance July 6th
The Oregon Zoo's popular Summer Concert Series begins Wednesday, July 6 and TriMet's MAX is an easy way to get to and from performances.
This year, Ladysmith Black Mambazo kicks off the series. All concerts start at 7 p.m. and performances are on many evenings through August 31.
Riding MAX to the zoo
MAX is a good alternative to driving to events at the zoo. Riders can board either Blue or Red line trains to Washington Park Station, which is about a five-minute trip from downtown. Trains run about every six minutes during the rush hour and about every 10 minutes when the concert is over.
A TriMet adult fare is just $1.40 from downtown or $1.70 from outlying areas. Round trip tickets also are available.
