43-Taylors Ferry takes over 40-Johns Landing route

Starting June 5, TriMet's Line 40-Johns Landing service will be transferred to Line 43-Taylors Ferry Rd in the Lair Hill and Corbett neighborhoods.

With this change, the Line 40 will be discontinued, eliminating duplicative service. Lines 35 and 36 will continue to serve Lake Oswego via SW Macadam Blvd. The Line 40 was temporarily rerouted to Lake Oswego due to weight limits that were placed on the Sellwood Bridge last year. TriMet canceled the 40 after talking with riders in the neighborhoods.

43-Taylors Ferry Rd service will be extended to Nebraska Street and Virginia Ave, along First Ave, Grove and Corbett in the Johns Landing area. Service in the Lair Hill, Corbett and Terwilliger neighborhoods will increase to reflect the discontinued 40. Buses serving the area will read: 43-Taylors Ferry via Johns Landing.

Riders traveling beyond Johns Landing need to look for: Taylors Ferry via Washington Square on the overhead sign at the front of the bus.
