TriMet Hires New Internal Audit Manager

Darlene Gastineau has been named the new Internal Audit Manager for TriMet. In this role, Gastineau will develop risk-based audit plans and programs designed to evaluate and improve TriMet’s business practices and operations. She will report directly to TriMet General Manager Fred Hansen.

Gastineau comes to TriMet with more than 17 years of internal auditing experience in operational, financial, and regulatory type audits. For the last seven years, she worked as a Senior Internal Auditor for Standard Insurance Company.

"This is a valuable position within the organization and we’re pleased with the depth of knowledge that Darlene brings to TriMet," said Hansen.

Her previous experience includes working as a Corporate Auditor for Wilshire Financial Services and as an Assistant Vice President and Audit Consultant for Bank of America Oregon.

Gastineau is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CPA), the Oregon Society of CPAs, and the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Gastineau has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration in accounting from the University of Portland and is a Certified Public Accountant.
