Washington Park Shuttle celebrates 10 years
Summer season begins Memorial Day weekend
TriMet's Washington Park Shuttle service begins its 10th year of service on Saturday, May 24. By starting service on Memorial Day weekend, the shuttle is a convenient way to visit Portland's popular summer attractions, including featured exhibits, concerts and other activities.
Catching the shuttle is easy by riding TriMet's Blue or Red Line MAX to Washington Park Station and taking the elevator to ground level. The shuttle runs at least every 15 minutes between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. with stops at these popular Washington Park destinations:
- Oregon Zoo
- Children’s Museum 2nd Generation
- International Rose Test Garden
- Japanese Garden
- Hoyt Arboretum
- World Forestry Center Discovery Museum
- Vietnam Veterans Memorial
- Rose Garden Children’s Play Park
- Hiking trails
The shuttle runs daily through Labor Day and then weekends-only through the remainder of September. Last year about 45,000 rides were taken on the shuttle.
Regular TriMet transfers and fares apply. Children six and under ride free with a paying passenger.
