Free Rides on New Year's Eve

Go on, enjoy yourself—and leave the driving to us. Take a free ride on MAX, buses and the Portland Streetcar on New Year's Eve from 8 p.m. until the end of the service day. MAX Blue and Yellow Line service will run every 15 minutes until 1 a.m., with trains running every 30 minutes between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. A final westbound and eastbound Blue and Yellow train will leave Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland about 3 a.m. After the last Red Line train leaves Gateway Transit Center at 11:10 p.m., a shuttle train will meet Blue Line trains at Gateway to take riders to Parkrose/Sumner Transit Center and the airport until 3 a.m. So getting to the celebrations—and home again—is safe and easy!
