MAX Yellow Line Route Description

MAX Yellow Line runs every day.

MAX Yellow Line is one of three light rail lines in Portland. It runs along a fixed track set into the ground and only stops at designated MAX stations. MAX Yellow Line is 7.2 miles long (5.8 miles between the Rose Quarter Transit Center and the Expo Center) and shares tracks and stations with MAX Blue Line and MAX Red Line between Old Town/Chinatown Station and Galleria/SW 10th Ave Station.

To Portland City Center, from Expo Center (Zone 2).

MAX Yellow Line travels south from Expo Center Station, located on North Marine Drive at the Expo Center, and stops at each of the following stations in the order they are listed:

Delta Park/Vanport Station, located on North Expo Road at Victory Boulevard.

Kenton/N Denver Ave Station, located on North Interstate Avenue at Denver Avenue.

N Lombard Transit Center, located on North Interstate Avenue at Lombard Street.

N Portland Blvd Station, located on North Interstate Avenue at Portland Boulevard.

N Killingsworth St Station, located on North Interstate Avenue at Killingsworth Street.

N Prescott St Station, located on North Interstate Avenue at Prescott Street.

Overlook Park Station, located on North Interstate Avenue at Overlook Boulevard. Overlook Park Station is the last stop in Zone 2.

Albina/Mississippi Station, located on North Interstate Avenue at Mississippi Street. Albina/Mississippi Station is the first stop in Zone 1.

Interstate/Rose Quarter Station, located on North Interstate Avenue at Multnomah Boulevard. First stop Fareless Square. Transfer to MAX Blue Line or MAX Red Line at nearby Rose Quarter Transit Center, located on North Holladay Street at Wheeler Street.

MAX Yellow Line crosses the Willamette River via the Steel Bridge.

Old Town/Chinatown Station, located on Northwest 1st Avenue at Davis Street. Entering Central Business District and downtown Portland.

Skidmore Fountain Station, located on Southwest 1st Avenue under the Burnside Bridge.

Oak/SW 1st Ave Station, located on Southwest 1st Avenue at Oak Street.

Morrison/SW 3rd Ave Station, located on Southwest 3rd Avenue at Morrison Street.

Mall/SW 5th Ave Station, located on Southwest Morrison Street at 5th Avenue. Transfer to bus lines serving the Portland Mall.

Pioneer Square North Station, located on Southwest Morrison Street at Broadway.

Galleria/SW 10th Ave Station, located on Southwest Morrison Street at 10th Avenue. Transfer to the nearby Portland Streetcar at Southwest 10th Avenue and Alder Street (to Good Samaritan Hospital), or Southwest 11th Avenue and Alder Street (to Portland State University).

MAX Yellow Line turns around and begins travel toward Expo Center.

To Expo Center, from Portland City Center (Zone 1).

MAX Yellow Line travels north from the Library/SW 9th Ave Station, located on Southwest Yamhill Street at 9th Avenue, and stops at each of the following stations in the order they are listed:

Pioneer Square South Station, located on Southwest Yamhill Street at 6th Avenue.

Mall/SW 4th Ave Station, located on Southwest Yamhill Street at 4th Avenue. Transfer to bus lines serving the Portland Mall.

Yamhill District Station, located on Southwest Yamhill Street at 1st Avenue.

Oak/SW 1st Ave Station, located on Southwest 1st Avenue at Oak Street.

Skidmore Fountain Station, located on Southwest 1st Avenue under the Burnside Bridge.

Old Town/Chinatown Station, located on Northwest 1st Avenue at Davis Street.
