The Interactivators Art Guide

The Interactivators Guide

This full-color guide to The Interactivators contains the history of the WES Commuter Rail art program and a detailed description of this innovative and exciting artwork. The Interactivators by Frank Boyden and Brad Rude is a series of five interactive sculptures located at each of the five stations of WES Commuter Rail. Each sculpture features 16-cast-bronze archetypal heads and a vehicle that move within "tracks" cut into the surface of the stainless-steel tables. Psychologically astute, socially progressive and artistically original, it is a masterwork in the oeuvre of two of the northwest's most talented sculptors.

The 48-page guide is generously illustrated with photos of the fabrication process and a complete catalog of the 81 unique sculptural heads and vehicles that move along the tracks of The Interactivators.

The Interactivators is also available for purchase at TriMet's Ticket Office at Pioneer Courthouse Square. You can view or print a copy for free by downloading The Interactivators (7MB PDF).
