Youth Advisory Subcommittee

The Youth Advisory Subcommittee provides feedback and insight to the Transit Equity Advisory Committee (TEAC) related to TriMet projects and services.

Program background

The Youth Advisory Subcommittee (YAS) is comprised of nine members from TriMet’s service district within Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington counties, including three members representing each county. Committee members meet monthly to provide feedback to TEAC on TriMet projects and services, foster youth engagement and advocate for issues related to youth on the region’s public transportation system.

TriMet is currently accepting applications to join YAS. No previous leadership experience is required, but youth with connections with community-based organizations are encouraged to apply. TriMet will provide transit fares to YAS members to attend committee and related meetings but will not provide additional transit fares, such as a monthly pass. Meals will be provided at committee meetings.
