MAX Yellow Line Improvements Project

October 25–31, 2026: MAX Yellow Line disrupted between Interstate/Rose Quarter MAX Station and Expo Center MAX Station

The disruption will be limited to the MAX Yellow Line, with shuttle buses replacing MAX service while crews work on the tracks.

Shuttle buses will operate between Interstate/Rose Quarter and Expo Center MAX stations every 15 minutes, serving stops near the closed stations.

We encourage you to plan up to an extra 30 minutes for your trips. This disruption will allow crews to make a series of improvements at three locations along the MAX Yellow Line to strengthen the MAX system against extreme summer heat.

Regular MAX Yellow Line evening service will resume on Sunday, November 1, 2026.

Shuttle Buses

Shuttle buses will run about every 15 minutes through the end of service.

In most cases, stops for north- and southbound shuttle buses will be located across from MAX stations. These stops will share the same locations and stop IDs as our Line 293-Yellow bus. A temporary shuttle bus stop that does not share a location with the Line 293-Yellow Bus will be added near Interstate/Rose Quarter (northbound).
