40-Tacoma/Swan Island provides daily service between Swan Island, Rose Quarter, Portland City Center, South Portland, Sellwood, and SE Tacoma/Johnson Creek Park & Ride, along Basin, Cutter Circle, Going, Greeley, Interstate, 5th/6th, Macadam and Tacoma.

Service alert in effect:
Beginning Tuesday evening, July 28, through Friday morning, July 31, no service to the northbound stop at SW 6th & Washington (Stop ID 7803) from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. due to utility work. Board using the regular TriMet stop one block north at SW 6th & Harvey Milk (Stop ID 7797).
Effective Jul. 31, 2026 On Friday, July 31, no service to southbound stops on N Interstate at Albina (Stop ID 2945), Tillamook (Stop ID 11844) and Larrabee (Stop ID 11845) from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. due to construction. Buses will serve a temp stop on N Russell west side of N Interstate.
